Davis scores 19 points, grabs 12 rebounds to lead Delaware over Monmouth 84-80
NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Jyare Davis scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Delaware beat Monmouth 84-80 on Saturday.
Cavan Reilly and Christian Ray each scored 13 points for the Fightin’ Blue Hens (14-9, 6-4 Coastal Athletic Association). Reilly made three of the Blue Hens' 10 3-pointers.
The Hawks (12-11, 5-5) were led in scoring by Xander Rice, who finished with 24 points, five assists and two steals. Nikita Konstantynovskyi added 14 points and eight rebounds for Monmouth. Jack Collins also had 10 points, nine rebounds and five assists.
Delaware went into halftime leading Monmouth 42-38. Ray scored 10 points in the half. Davis put up 14 second-half points.
