Brown and Saint Joseph's (PA) knock off Saint Louis 87-86
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Xzayvier Brown scored 18 of his 27 points in the second half and made two foul shots with seven seconds left and Saint Joseph's (PA) beat Saint Louis 87-86 on Saturday.
The Hawks' Lynn Greer III came up with a steal on Saint Louis' Sincere Parker to end it.
Brown also distributed seven assists and grabbed five rebounds for the Hawks (16-8, 6-5 Atlantic 10 Conference). Cameron Brown scored 23 points and added seven rebounds. Erik Reynolds II scored 11.
Parker led the Billikens (9-15, 2-9) with 34 points and nine rebounds. Terrence Hargrove Jr. added 19 points and eight rebounds for Saint Louis. In addition, Larry Hughes Jr. had 15 points and three steals.
Saint Joseph's plays Loyola Chicago on the road on Wednesday, and Saint Louis hosts VCU on Friday.
