HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Matt Balanc's 23 points helped Quinnipiac defeat Canisius 88-63 on Sunday.
Balanc shot 8 for 15 (3 for 5 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line for the Bobcats (18-4, 10-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Amarri Tice scored 18 points and added nine rebounds. Doug Young finished 4 of 5 from the field to finish with 10 points. The Bobcats extended their winning streak to nine games.
Frank Mitchell led the way for the Golden Griffins (8-13, 3-8) with 14 points and 16 rebounds. Cam Palesse added 14 points and six rebounds for Canisius. Siem Uijtendaal also had 12 points.
