NXT TakeOver 36 saw Dragunov finally exorcise his demons as he ended the longest championship reign in WWE’s modern era at 870 days by overcoming the Superstar now known as GUNTHER to lay claim to the NXT UK Championship in an epic rematch.
After a resounding 2023, where he just came up short in his match against NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes at NXTÂ The Great American Bash, Dragunov finally earned the NXT Title after defeating Hayes at NXT No Mercy.Â
After losing the NXT Championship to Trick Williams at Spring Breakin', Dragunov was drafted to Monday Night Raw in the fourth round of the 2024 WWE Draft.
