Impact Burton took on a significant role for the Valkyries after being selected by the team during the WNBA Expansion Draft during the offseason. She served exclusively as a starter while appearing in all 44 regular-season games, averaging 11.9 points, 6.0 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 0.6 blocks in 29.4 minutes per game, all of which were career-best marks. The Valkyries lost Game 1 of their first-round playoff series to the Lynx on Sunday, but Burton performed well, amassing 14 points, seven assists, five rebounds, three steals and a block in 34 minutes, although she also committed a season-high seven turnovers.
