Waived following season-ending injury Sutton was waived by the Wings on Wednesday after suffering a season-ending hand injury in practice.

Impact It's an unfortunate turn of events for Sutton, who was also cut loose by the Fire earlier this year. Aziaha James should pick up a few extra minutes off the bench in the Dallas backcourt for the remainder of the season.

AUGUST 24 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Sutton continues to be a fringe rotation player for Dallas. She remains miles off the fantasy radar.

Impact Sutton, who was surprisingly let go by Portland last week, played a sizable role off the Dallas bench in her debut. There isn't much usage to go around in Dallas with Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale running the show, so Sutton will have a lot of work to do to remain relevant in fantasy hoops.

JUNE 16 • ROTOWIRE

Signed by Dallas Sutton was signed to a rest-of-season contract by the Wings, the team announced Sunday.

Impact Dallas wanted to bolster depth in the backcourt, so the Wings made the move to add Sutton after waiving JJ Quinerly. The 2020 No. 36 overall pick appeared in three regular-season games for Portland to begin the 2026 campaign before being waived, averaging 11.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 0.7 steals across 22.7 minutes.

JUNE 14 • ROTOWIRE

Waived by Fire The Fire waived Sutton on Thursday, per WNBA reporter Kareem Copeland.

Impact The move comes as a bit of a surprise, given Sutton had started two of her three games for Portland. She's averaging a career-high 11.3 points and 5.7 assists per game, so Sutton shouldn't have much trouble landing another contract.
