Sharp off bench in victory Lacan provided eight points (3-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 19 minutes during Wednesday's 93-83 victory over Seattle.

Impact Lacan made the most of her time off the bench, contributing nicely in several different categories. She had a plus-19 rating, too, which was the best of any player on either side. In two games with the team, the French rookie is averaging 6.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 21.5 minutes per game.

Lacan was selected No. 10 overall by Connecticut in the 2024 WNBA Draft before she opted to sit out the 2024 season to prepare for the Olympics, and it will be interesting to see what type of role she's able to carve out with the Sun.

Likely to join Connecticut in July Head coach Rachid Meziane said Tuesday that Lacan won''t join the Sun until July due to an overseas commitment, Emily Adams of The Hartford Courant reports.

Impact Lacan is set to join the French national team for FIBA EuroBasket, meaning her first chance to suit up with Connecticut will come July 6 against the Aces. However, it also wouldn't be surprising if the 20-year-old guard doesn't return until after the All-Star break, which takes place from July 17-21.
