Impact Martin was diagnosed with a Grade 2 right quad strain in late April, and she was being re-evaluated on a day-to-day basis recently. Set to miss at least one week The Valkyries announced Tuesday that Martin has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 right quad strain and will be re-evaluated in a week, Sara Jane Gamelli of BallisLife.com reports.

Impact Martin served as a starter during Saturday's preseason win over the Storm and recorded eight points, seven rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes. It's not yet clear whether she sustained her injury during the exhibition, but she'll be sidelined for at least a week of practice late in training camp. Whether she'll be forced to miss any time to begin the regular season remains to be seen, but even if she's available for the Valkyries' Opening Night matchup against Seattle on May 8, it wouldn't be surprising to see her workload monitored.
