Parts ways with Phoenix Nared was waived by the Mercury on Thursday.

Impact Nared missed both of the Mercury's preseason games due to a calf issue, and she'll be let go by the team just over a week before the start of the regular season. It's unclear whether her calf injury will impact her as she seeks out other opportunities.

Impact Nared will miss a second straight game due to a left calf injury. If the 30-year-old forward makes the regular-season roster, her next chance to suit up with Phoenix will come against the Aces on May 9.

Won't play against Chicago Nared has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Sky due to a left calf injury, freelance Mercury writer Jeff Metcalfe reports.

Impact Nared inked a training camp contract with the Mercury on April 12, but she'll miss the team's first exhibition game while tending to a left calf injury. She'll have plenty of time to rehab from the injury, as the Mercury's next preseason game does not take place until Saturday, May 9 against the Aces.

Signs with Phoenix Nared signed a training camp contract with the Mercury on April 12.

Impact Nared made 31 regular-season appearances for the Aces in 2018 but appeared in just one game for Las Vegas the following season, which was the last time she's suited up in the WNBA during the regular season. She was let go by Indiana ahead of the 2022 season and was waived by the Lynx before the 2024 campaign, but she'll have another opportunity to compete for a roster spot with the Mercury.
