Diagnosed with torn ACL Vandersloot (knee) underwent an MRI on Saturday that revealed a torn right ACL injury that will require season-ending surgery.

The 36-year-old returned to the Sky during the offseason following two seasons in New York, and she averaged 10.6 points, 5.3 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 27.3 minutes per game over seven appearances to begin the regular season. Now that Vandersloot has been ruled out for the remainder of the year, Kia Nurse, Rachel Banham, Hailey Van Lith and Rebecca Allen will need to step up for the Sky, who have gotten off to a 2-5 start to the season.
