Impact This one played out as a worse-case scenario for Del Valle who entered as a -435 favorite. He spent the vast majority of the first two rounds plastered to the mat by Leavitt, allowing three takedowns and north of 7:00 worth of control time. He managed to flip the script in Round 3 but never landed any notable offense of his own, with Leavitt eventually reversing position and cruising to the final bell. Del Valle won his first two UFC fights via first-round submission, but this performance was bad enough to express serious concerns about the Cuban moving forward.

Fighting at UFC Houston Del Valle will face off against Jordan Leavitt at UFC Houston on Feb. 21, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact Del Valle is fresh off a victory over Isaac Dulgarian at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on Nov. 1, improving to 10-0 as a professional fighter. His opponent is also coming off a victory, however, as Leavitt defeated Kurt Holobaugh back in May at UFC on ESPN 68.

Remains undefeated as pro Del Valle defeated Isaac Dulgarian via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:41 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Impact It seems pretty clear Dulgarian was either sick or injured given the massive line movement in Del Valle's favor in the closing hours leading up to the fight. Regardless, Yadier had to go out and perform against a talented opponent and he did just that. Del Valle worked hard to stuff Dulgarian's first and only takedown attempt and it was smooth sailing from there. At 5-foot-9, Del Valle looks massive for featherweight and he clearly has a clue in there despite the fact he has all of 10 professional fights under his belt. He's clearly a name to keep an eye on moving forward.

Looking to go 2-0 in UFC Del Valle is scheduled to compete against Isaac Dulgarian in a featherweight fight at UFC Vegas 110 on Nov. 1, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Del Valle is looking to go 10-0 all-time and 2-0 in the UFC. The featherweight's first win came over Connor Matthews, and the former's opponent is fighting off a victory over Brendon Marotte.

Impact Del Valle earned his UFC contract in October despite going the distance on Dana White's Contender Series. He made his official company debut here, was given a layup, and took full advantage. Ballooning to upwards of a -600 favorite by the time the fight kicked off, Del Valle stood around for a bit before landing an easy takedown and quickly submitting the totally overmatched Matthews. The truth of the matter is that this performance, while impressive, tells us nothing about what to expect from YDV moving forward. We should get some more answers his next time out.

Official debut set Del Valle will make his official UFC debut against Connor Matthews in a featherweight matchup at UFC Vegas 106 on May 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact Del Valle earned his UFC contract with a dominant decision on Dana White's Contender Series that improved his professional record to 8-0, and he's now set for his promotion debut against a fellow DWCS product in Matthews. Matthews has gone 0-2 in official UFC fights and will likely be fighting for his job, while Del Valle -- a 28-year-old Cuban prospect with a jiu-jitsu background -- will look to get off to a strong start.
