Losing streak hits three Yusuff lost to Mairon Santos via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Impact Yusuff moved up to lightweight for this fight after a recent string of struggles at featherweight and it didn't make the least bit of difference. He was competitive for about a round before Santos completely took over. Sodiq appeared hesitant to let his hands go, which is essentially a death sentence given the fact he has just a single submission victory in his entire career. His one successful takedown came in Round 3 and by then the fight was already out of reach. Yusuff will be 32 years old two days after this event takes place, so there should be some gas left in the tank, but with three straight defeats on his ledger there is no guarantee Sodiq will be given another chance to work through his issues.
