Impact The Bahrain native had won his previous two fights before losing to Waldo Cortes-Acosta in his most recent event, and he'll aim to bounce back here. That said, things might get complicated for Gaziev if the fight extends to a third round, as he's displayed cardio and stamina issues in the past.

Falls to late-notice replacement Gaziev lost to Waldo Cortes-Acosta via KO (punch) at 1:22 of Round 1 at UFC Qatar on Saturday.

Impact Credit to Gaziev for taking a short-notice replacement opponent in a fight in which he'd enter as a betting underdog, but it turned out to be a decision that would go on to cost him. He was aggressive early, but he ran into a right hand that sent him to the canvas. Gaziev was able to scramble back to his feet, but another right hand connected clean to send him right back to the mat. Referee Lukasz Bosacki jumped in right on time to prevent any further damage. The loss snaps a two-fight winning streak for the Bahrain-born fighter.

Impact Originally slated to fight Serghei Spivac (undisclosed), Gaziev will now take on an opponent who could struggle with fatigue Saturday after having last fought three weeks ago.

Added to card for UFC Qatar Gaziev (undisclosed) is scheduled to fight Serghei Spivac on Nov. 22 at UFC Qatar, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact Gaziev was previously scheduled to face off against Spivac back in May at UFC Qatar, but the bout was scrapped due to an undisclosed injury to Gaziev. The matchup is now back on for later in the year, as Gaziev will look to take home his third straight victory after securing wins against Thomas Petersen at UFC Fight Night 250 in February and against Don'Tale Mayes at UFC on ABC 7 in August of 2024.

Will not fight Spivac Gaziev (undisclosed) will not fight Serghei Spivac for the latter's next fight, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact It has become apparent that something is affecting Gaziev, who was scheduled to fight Spivac at UFC Qatar on May 17. Instead of Gaziev, Spivac will fight Waldo Cortes-Acosta at UFC 316 on June 7.
