Baffled by Michael Page Patterson lost to Michael Page via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in London.

Impact Patterson entered with four straight stoppage wins on his resume but this was a very tough matchup given the respective skill sets of each men. Page is one of the trickiest guys on the sport to get a read on and Patterson had no real success, landing just 12 significant strikes over the course of the 15-minute bout. The lone bit of good news is that Sam absorbed very little damage in the process, so he should be ready to return to action right away. Expect Patterson to be back in the octagon in short order.

MVP fight next Patterson is scheduled to compete against Michael Page in a welterweight fight at UFC London on March 21, per Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.

Impact After four consecutive wins, Patterson will fight one of the UFC's more big-name signings in recent memory. Page will go down a weight class in an attempt to halt what has been a meteoric rise for Patterson, who will look to make it five consecutive finishes in his scheduled fight with MVP.

Impact It was another brilliant performance from Patterson, who is quickly establishing himself as a forced to be reckoned with at 170 pounds. The Brit has shown off both his power and submission game with the UFC. This time it was the former. He unloaded on Waters with a barrage of punches at distance which turned the tide of the fight. Patterson floored the gas pedal from there, forcing referee Rich Mitchell to step in and save Waters. Patterson has won four in a row, all via stoppage, since a knockout loss to Yanal Ashmouz in his official company debut back in March 2023.

Booked vs. Waters Patterson will take on Trey Waters in a welterweight bout at UFC Paris on Sept. 6, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Patterson is coming off a nice win over Danny Barlow back in March, disposing of him in the first round. That pushed his UFC record to 3-1, and he'll look for his fourth win in the promotion against a fighter in Waters who is off to a perfect 2-0 start, most recently taking care of Billy Ray Goff via unanimous decision in May of 2024.
