No longer fighting Zhu Salkilld will take on Jamie Mullarkey in a lightweight matchup at UFC 325 on Jan. 31, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact With Rong Zhu out for undisclosed reasons, Salkilld will now take on Mullarkey in the upcoming January contest. Salkilld will put a three-fight winning streak on the line as he faces Mullarkey, who has gone 3-3 in his last six UFC matches but has much more experience at the level.

Salkilled has notable height and reach advantages and is better defensively on the feet, though Zhu does own a volume striking advantage. The wrestling of Salkilld should be put to the test here, too. While he averages nearly eight takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time, Zhu defends them at a respectable 84 percent clip.

Impact That's quite a statement from Salkilld in a pick 'em fight. The highlight of the early minutes of this fight was Quillan failing on four straight takedown attempts. It was at that point he fired off a head kick which got through Haqparast's guard and blasted him on the side of the head. The latter immediately crumbled, out cold before he hit the mat. Although Salkilld entered with a 3-0 mark with the UFC (including his fight on Dana White's Contender Series), his wins were over Gauge Young, Anshul Jubli, and Yanal Ashmouz. This impressive win over Haqparast means considerably more.

Remains perfect in UFC Salkilld defeated Yanel Ashmouz via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 316 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.

Impact Widely viewed as a top prospect in the lightweight division, Salkilld won his UFC debut via 19-second knockout in February. He was right back at it here, looking terrific before fading in the final minutes. Recognizing a hole in Ashmouz's game, Salkilld fired off a whopping 23 takedown attempts, landing eight.
