Another instant stoppage win Daukaus defeated Gerald Meerschaert via submission (brabo choke) at 0:50 of Round 1 at UFC 322 on Saturday in New York City.

Impact Too easy. Facing an opponent unable to defend himself on the feet, Daukaus was able to turn two huge strikes into a knockdown just seconds into the fight. From there, he brilliantly clamped on one of his signature chokes which closed the show. A win over Meerschaert means less than nothing in the grand scheme of things here at the end of 2025, but Daukaus once again showed that he probably never should have been cut from the UFC about three years ago. He's won six straight since, including back-to-back first-round stoppage victories since returning to the company in August.

Scheduled for UFC 322 Daukaus is set to fight against Gerald Meerschaert in a middleweight bout at UFC 322 on Nov. 15, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact The 32-year-old American is set to return to the Octagon after defeating Michel Pereira via TKO (punches) at UFC Shanghai on Aug. 23. Daukaus holds a professional record of 16-4-0 (one no contest) and has won three consecutive bouts dating back to February 2024.

Impact Daukaus announced his return to the UFC in triumphant fashion, showing that the gains made on the regional circuit between stints were indeed legitimate. An aggressive Pereira rushed him early on, but Daukaus clipped him with a short right hook that sent him to the canvas. He pounced and finished the job with some brutal elbows that put his opponent out cold before referee Marc Goddard could rush in. The finish would go on to earn him one of four $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses awarded on the evening. Perhaps the 32-year-old is here to stay this time around.

Set for UFC return as replacement Daukaus will face Michel Pereira at UFC Shanghai on Aug. 23 as the replacement of Marco Tulio (undisclosed), Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

Impact Daukaus was removed from the UFC roster in Jan. 2023, but he's worked his way back and went 5-1 in minor promotions to secure a spot on the UFC roster once again. He went 2-4 with one NC in his previous UFC stint, though he hasn't stepped in an octagon in the promotion since losing to Eryk Anders on Dec. 3, 2022.
