Impact It was obvious from the very start that Robertson was going to be in for a long night. As was correctly pointed out on the broadcast countless times, Gillian's complete inability to threaten Dern on the feet made things ridiculously easy for the champion. Robertson gave up takedowns in each of the first three rounds, allowing 7:26 worth of control time over the course of the first 15 minutes. She finally ended up in top position for an extended period of time in Round 5, although the fight was long decided by then. Quite frankly, Robertson was fortunate not to be forced to tap out multiple times early on. Gillian's wrestling game is strong, but almost everything else is lacking. She deserved this opportunity considering she entered with five straight wins, but those victories were against Amanda Lemos, Marina Rodriguez, Luana Pinheiro, Michelle Waterson-Gomez, and Polyana Viana. It's overwhelmingly likely this will go down as the only shot at UFC gold for the 31-year-old Canadian.

She takes on Dern who is also on a three-fight win streak of her own following a tough battle against Virna Jandiroba. She will be competing in her first ever title opportunity since competing in the promotion since 2018.

Impact If you've seen one Robertson fight, you've seen them all. Gillian wins with grappling and control time and this fight was no exception. She was unable to physically dominate Lemos in Round 1 and that led to the Brazilian predictably controlling things on the feet and winning the frame in the process. Robertson landed just one takedown each in Rounds 2 and 3, but those two successful tries turned into 7:39 worth of control time. Gillian somehow closed with just 12 significant strikes landed despite her constant positional advantage. It's impossible to argue with the results -- Robertson has won five straight -- but it's fair to wonder how this style will hold up against the best the division has to offer.

Impact The 30-year-old strawweight was originally slated to face Iasmin Lucindo, but the latter ultimately withdrew from the event for unknown reasons. Robertson will now aim to extend her four-fight winning streak against Lemos, who defeated Lucindo in March but has lost two of her last three bouts.

Impact It goes in the books as a rare knockout victory for Robertson, but it was another fight that was won on the strength of her superior wrestling. Facing a noted poor defensive grappler in Rodriguez, Robertson landed 2-of-3 takedowns for 5:21 worth of control time. She was eventually able to mount a prone Rodriguez and fire off countless unanswered blows until referee Bruce Allen stepped in. The 29-year-old Canadian has come out of nowhere to win four in a row and six of her last seven. Robertson is quietly closing in on title-implicating fights at 115 pounds.
