Wins on 48 hours' notice Ewing defeated Malcolm Wellmaker via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 322 on Saturday in New York City.
Impact Ewing accepted this fight 48 hours ago following the withdrawal of Cody Haddon (foot). He was asleep at the time and said he had about 40 missed calls and then drove all around Los Angeles to get his medicals in order. He flew across the country and then set about picking Wellmaker apart as a +400 underdog. Ewing stayed aggressive the entire way, getting in Malcolm's face and making him work. He was also the much better conditioned athlete, which perhaps shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering he fought last week, winning via knockout in just over four minutes. Ewing earned a top of fans with this performance and we should see him back in the octagon in short order.

Impact The 27-year-old will be filling in for Cody Haddon, who had to withdraw from the even due to an injury. Ewing will be taking an 8-2 professional record into his UFC debut Saturday, though he still figures to be at a disadvantage against Wellmaker, who is undefeated (10-0) and has previous experience in the UFC.
