Drops tight decision Brundage lost to Eric McConico via split decision (29-28, 27-30, 29-28) at UFC Vegas 109 on Saturday. Impact Brundage has the right to be upset with the decision here, as he led the striking battle in the first two rounds, in addition to executing a takedown in each of those frames that led to lopsided control time numbers. However, McConico had the bigger moment in Round 1 with what looked like a knockdown (assisted by a balance issue), and he finished with the stronger striking numbers in Round 3, while Brundage faded a bit. Brundage now has just one win in his last five trips to the Octagon dating back to April of 2024. He'll likely continue to serve as roster depth in the middleweight division moving forward, hovering right around .500.
