The latter has yet to emerge victorious in either of his two fights with the promotion and could be fighting for his place to stick around.

Second straight knockout loss Hooper lost to Lance Gibson via TKO (knees) at 2:56 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Seattle.

Impact That should just about do it for Hooper despite the fact he's still just 26 years old. Fresh off a first-round knockout loss to Alexander Hernandez last August, Hooper suffered a similar fate this evening despite entering as a -375 favorite. He appeared to be in firm control for the first couple minutes, only to get cracked with an elbow. Hooper's response was to shoot for a takedown, at which point he ate multiple fight-ending knees to the face. The past two defeats are especially disappointing when you take into account they came on the heels of a five-fight winning streak.

Impact A loss to Alexander Hernandez in August snapped Hooper's three-fight winning streak. He'll have a chance to get back on track in March while owning a two-inch reach advantage over Gibson, who dropped his UFC debut in December.

Momentum dashed in knockout loss Hooper lost to Alexander Hernandez via TKO (punches) at 4:58 of Round 1 at UFC 319 on Saturday in Chicago, Illinois.

Impact It was clear early on that the speed of Hernandez was troubling Hooper, as he was continually getting stung with counter shots. This came to a head at the end of Round 1, when "The Dream" threw out a lazy jab and got crushed by Hernandez's overhand right. Hooper came into this bout having won five in a row, and while he has plenty of time to get back on track, it represents another in a sequence of course-correcting defeats. Hooper falls to 16-4-0 in professional MMA as a result of the loss.

Cruises as biggest favorite on card Hooper defeated Jim Miller via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 314 on Saturday in Miami.

Impact For a second fight in a row, Hooper found himself as the biggest favorite on the card, this time at north of -900. He was able to get Clay Guida out of there in less than four minutes in December, but had to go the distance today against another veteran in Miller. This fight was fairly even for about a round before Hooper floored the gas pedal and made it a grappling match. He landed seven takedowns and 8:11 worth of control time in the final two rounds alone, cruising to the win. Hooper is still just 25 years old, and his striking, while not a strength, keeps improving. He's won five straight and is without a defeat dating back to October 2022.
