Impact Lopes nearly made it through two full rounds, which may not seem like much on the surface but it was about all you could ask for as a +500 underdog against a finisher like Stirling. He was playing with danger the entire fight and finally got caught. Lopes probably should have been finished a good 30-40 seconds earlier, but referee Keith Peterson allowed him to absorb a massive beating before finally pulling the plug. The Brazilian suffered back-to-back knockout defeats on the heels of a unanimous decision win over Magomed Gadzhiyasulov back in January 2025.
