Wins four-setter in French Open R1 Paul won 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 over Elmer Moller in the first round of the French Open on Sunday.
Impact Paul was tested a bit more than expected by the No. 112-ranked Dane but he managed to find a way through his debut with a four-set comeback win that spanned three hours. The 28-year-old American has never made it past the third round at Roland Garros. Paul will play No. 124-ranked Marton Fucsovics (0-2 H2H) in the second round, who he last played in 2021.
