Khachanov looked like he could be poised for a big comeback after he attained an early break lead in the fourth set, but he wasn't able to hold on to that lead and eventually fell in four sets across two hours sand 36 minutes. With the loss, the 29-year-old from Russia falls to 2-4 in his career in major quarterfinal matches. Khachanov is projected to rise to No. 17 in next week's rankings after his quarterfinal showing.
