Rybakina won 6-1, 6-7 (2), 6-1 over Liudmila Samsonova in the final of Strasbourg on Saturday.
Impact
Rybakina battled past the No. 19-ranked Russian in three sets across two hours and 14 minutes to claim the ninth title of her career and her first of 2025. The 25-year-old Kazakh fired 16 aces in the victory and secured 61% of service points overall while Samsonova won just 53% of service points. Rybakina is the No. 12 seed at the upcoming French Open, where she made the quarterfinals in 2024.
