WWE reveals first separate Raw and SmackDown pay-per-views
When WWE announced that it would be splitting the roster between Raw and SmackDown, it confirmed that there would be an increase in the total number of pay-per-view specials each year and some would be exclusive to either Raw or SmackDown. SummerSlam on August 21st is obviously a joint production, but until now WWE hasn't given any further details about the upcoming PPV schedule.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Backlash will be returning on September 11th, and will be held in the Richmond Coliseum. It appears to be a SmackDown event.
