This video of LeBron at Monday Night Raw as a rookie is a time capsule
The WWE dug up this old footage of a 19-year-old sitting ringside for the November 3rd, 2003 episode of Monday Night Raw, held in what was then called the Gund Arena, and it's fascinating. Two days earlier, LeBron had scored just eight points in a loss to the Trail Blazers in one of his roughest outings as a rookie.
That night in Cleveland, LeBron watched Shawn Michaels beat Mark Henry, with Stone Cold Steve Austin serving as a special enforcer. LeBron snapped a photo of Austin on his ancient Panasonic flip phone and seemed very pleased with the result.
After the show, LeBron hung out backstage with Stacy Keibler and the Dudley Boyz. The Cleveland Cavaliers are just a group of wrestling fans who happen to be really good at basketball. Kevin Love rocked an Austin 3:16 shirt in the locker room after Game 7 and celebrated at the title parade with a WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt, and LeBron's been spotted wearing Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior shirts this month.
