Further proof Donald Trump’s presidency won’t be like any other: he’s nominating WWE co-founder Linda McMahon to a leadership position.
Donald Trump has made some interesting choices to fill his Presidential roster, and this week that continued when he declared his support for Linda McMahon, who is best known for co-founding World Wrestling Entertainment with her husband Vince McMahon.
Yes, the co-founder and former CEO of WWE is now a member of the Trump Presidency.
Per Reuters McMahon will be nominated as the new head of the Small Business Administration, which provides support to entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout the United States.
In announcing her candidacy, Trump called McMahon “widely recognized as one of the country’s top female executives advising businesses around the globe.”

How did she get on The Donald’s radar? McMahon and her husband have donated five million dollars to Trump’s charitable foundation, and Donald Trump is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.
But she’s not entirely without merit. She was involved with WWE for almost four decades, from 1980 to 2009, and there’s no denying that it grew into a massive business.
She left the company the same year in which she started a political career by joining the Connecticut State Board of Education, though she resigned in 2010. She then unsuccessfully ran for Senate twice.
Now, provided that the Senate confirms her, she’ll have achieved her government aspirations as the new head of the SBA.
But those confirmation hearings ought to be interesting. Most people probably aren’t aware of McMahon’s political history and will still associate her with moments like this:

Donald Trump certainly isn’t searching for the expected type in filling the vacancies within his new government; you have to give him points for thinking outside the box. But let’s consider this: the co-founder of WWE could be serving in the presidency of a reality TV star. That’s probably not something even wrestling fans ever expected to say!
