No. 8 Mississippi State women beats 20th-ranked USF 68-58

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Victoria Vivians scored 23 points, Morgan William added 15 and No. 8 Mississippi State beat 20th-ranked USF 68-58 in the SEC-AAC Challenge on Wednesday.

Chinwe Okorie had eight points and 11 rebounds to help the Bulldogs (13-1) win their eighth consecutive game.

Vivians reached double figures for the 13th straight game. She had 13 at halftime as Mississippi State built a 12-point lead.

Vivians and William helped the Bulldogs stretch the lead to 62-40 late in the third quarter, with William hitting 7 of 8 from the free-throw line in the foul-laden period.

USF's Courtney Williams struggled early. Williams, who entered the game as the nation's fourth-leading scorer, missed her first 10 shots.

Williams played just one minute in the fourth quarter and finished with 12 points on 4-of-20 shooting.

Laura Ferreira led the Bulls with 19 points. Alisia Jenkins added 15.
