Watch Clay Guida sprint through streets of LA, days after UFC 199
Clay Guida was on his way to earning a huge upset victory last Saturday in Inglewood, CA at UFC 199 when opponent Brian Ortega caught him with a knee and knocked him out with about 30 seconds left in their three-round contest. Afterwards, Clay stuck around the Los Angeles area, but not to sulk.
"At the end of the day, win or lose, in life or in a fight, there is no time to sit around and feel sorry for yourself," he said, in a video released through Instagram.
"In loss, you can only get back up on your feet, take your challenge head-on. In victory, there is no time to over-celebrate, because you should expect to win. Set your goals, high, attack them every day."
Guida could be seen doing just that in the immediate days after his loss. Instead of being crushed by the tough setback, the longtime contender took to the streets, and sand, and yoga mats to begin his road back.
In the below video, Guida can be seen sprinting through the streets and sand of Hermosa Beach, just two days after fighting. Few, if anyone in the sport of MMA work harder than "The Carpenter," and it seems unlikely that he'll be down for long.
