UFC fighter Shane Burgos forced to get haircut in middle of fight (Video)
UFC featherweight Shane Burgos became the first fighter in UFC history to get a hair cut mid-fight.
It’s safe to say UFC featherweight Shan Burgos will never forget UFC Fight Night 102 in Albany, New York.
Stepping in to the Octagon, he was looking to keep his perfect record intact in his UFC debut against Brazil’s Tiago Trator. With this being on the second professional mixed martial arts event sanctioned in the state of New York since the sport became legalized earlier this year, the pressure was on to deliver for the sold out crowd in the Time Union Center.

While Burgos seemed to cruise through the 15 minutes of action with crisp combos and an unrelenting pace, the talk of the fight was actually what happened between rounds.
As his coach ran through instructions, a fellow cornerman arrived on the scene with a pair of scissors to cut his fighter’s hair.
Even with this distraction, Burgos ultimately earned a dominant decision win, making his very public haircut worth it.
