UFC: Alexis Davis vs. Sara McMann Added to TUF 24 Finale

An exciting pair of female UFC bantamweights have been added to ‘The Ultimate Fighter 24’ finale later this year.
The two women’s 135-pound standouts will meet from the sold out Palms in Las Vegas. UFC officials confirmed the fight on Wednesday.
Davis (17-6) is returning after more than a year away from the sport. She gave birth earlier this year and will be making her first appearance since April last year where she beat Sarah Kaufman via second-round armbar at UFC 186. Since signing with the UFC back in 2013 the Canadian has rattled off four impressive victories with her only loss coming at the hands of Ronda Rousey.
Davis earned her shot at UFC gold after beating Rosi Sexton, Liz Carmouche and Jessica Eye between June 2013 and February 2014. She would go onto face Rousey for the women’s bantamweight title at UFC 175, where she would only last 16-seconds. One victory and one baby later Davis is ready to get back into title contention.

McMann (9-3) is riding a new wave of confidence into this fight thanks to a May decision victory over Jessica Eye. The win snapped a two-fight skid that saw her drop losses to two future champions in Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes.
With three UFC wins to her name the former Olympic wrestler is looking to make another run at the title herself. Her first run at glory ended with a devastating knee to the liver thanks to one Ronda Rousey back at UFC 170 in 2014. Since the loss to Rousey, McMann has beaten both Lauren Murphy and most recently Jessica Eye and with future title aspirations of her own knows how important a win over the always tough Alexis Davis really is.
