With the win McGregor unknowingly made himself available for the promotions debut in New York. While many were focused on the potential trilogy with Diaz company officials had their eyes set on Madison Square Garden.

McGregor now has the opportunity to make history inside the worlds most famous combat sports arena. Should he defeat current UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, McGregor will become the first fighter to hold two titles in two separate divisions simultaneously.

McGregor has a stern test in front of him in the form of Eddie Alvarez who is a wily veteran known for his toughness and determination which have helped win titles in every other promotion he has fought in.

Opportunity for greatness is knocking on Conor McGregor’s door, the only question is will he be able to answer the call?
