Fighters are posting to social media ahead of UFC 205: Alvarez vs. McGregor from the historic Madison Square Garden in New York.
Tonight, the UFC returns to New York for the first time in over 21 years with UFC 205: McGregor vs. Alvarez.
UFC 205 takes place at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York. In the main event, UFC featherweight champion Connor McGregor will take on UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez. This fight is especially significant because if McGregor wins, he’ll become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles at the same time.
Also on the card, welterweight champion Tyron Woodley faces karate specialist Stephen Thompson. Strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will put her belt on the line against top contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz. In addition to the title fights, former middleweight champion Chris Weidman meets Olympic silver medalist Yoel Romero and former bantamweight champion Miesha Tate returns against Raquel Pennington.
