Stipe Miocic injured, UFC seeking replacement to face Ben Rothwell

The UFC Fight Night card in Dublin, Ireland will need a new co-main event after heavyweight contender Stipe Miocic suffered an injury in training that forced him out of his upcoming bout against Ben Rothwell.
UFC officials confirmed to FOX Sports that Miocic is out of the fight on Oct. 24 in Dublin following an initial report from MMAJunkie.
A replacement is currently being sought to face Rothwell next weekend as part of the card taking place in Ireland.
The nature of Miocic's injury is unknown at this time, but the Ohio native will have to forgo his next bout, which was scheduled for next weekend's card in Ireland airing on UFC Fight Pass.
Rothwell took to Twitter on Tuesday to taunt Miocic after word of his injury started to leak out, which led to the cancellation of their fight.

Miocic is currently ranked No. 3 in the heavyweight division while potentially sitting just a win away from a title shot in 2016.
Unfortunately, this injury will push Miocic back from his next bout and there's no word yet on when he might be able to return to the Octagon.
Rothwell is also deep in the title hunt while currently riding a three-fight win streak in the division.
For now he remains in limbo as the UFC searches for a suitable replacement to face Rothwell on next weekend's card.
Gutted Sorry to the fans. Sorry to the @ufc sorry to @RothwellFighter I'll be back soon. But first I'd like to be able to put my socks on
