Losing to Alistair Overeem at UFC 185 may or may not have taken years off Roy Nelson's career, but it did break one of the heavyweight's hands. "UFC Tonight" broke the news Wednesday evening that -- according to Nelson's wife, Jessy -- "Big Country" broke his right hand in the first round of his Dallas main card bout earlier this month.

According to the report, Nelson will not need surgery. The 38-year-old UFC veteran is set to be re-evaluated by a doctor in two weeks.

Though injured, Nelson is still thinking ahead toward his eventual return. Both he and former UFC champion Josh Barnett agreed on Twitter that they'd like to fight one another.

Barnett has a Metamoris submission grappling match coming up first, however. For his part, Nelson's health will need to be back in order in time to face Barnett.

We're betting that Nelson will do whatever he can to fight again as soon as possible. According to the report, Nelson asked UFC matchmakers for another fight on the bus back to the hotel from the UFC 185 arena after the loss to Overeem. Even with a broken hand, Nelson was already itching for his next scrap.
