Ronda Rousey to Bethe Correia after 34-second KO: 'Don't cry'

If there's one place you don't want to be, it's on Ronda Rousey's bad side.

Bethe Correia found that out the hard way after trash talking the UFC women's bantamweight champion nonstop for weeks leading up to their fight at UFC 190 on Saturday night in Brazil.

Correia jabbed at Rousey during every verbal exchange, and twice during fight week, the Brazilian challenger got directly in the champion's face and began spewing Portuguese at her when they stood nose to nose.

During the weigh-ins on Friday, Correia doubled down on her jaw wagging, although Rousey acknowledged she couldn't understand what was being said because she doesn't speak her opponent's native language.

At some point between Friday's weigh-ins and the fights on Saturday, Rousey got Correia's words translated and she turned them around on her in a big way after landing a vicious knockout at just 34 seconds into the first round.

"I said the exact same thing she was saying to me at the weigh-ins when she was screaming in my face at weigh-ins," Rousey explained at the post-fight press conference. "She was saying 'Don't cry'.

"So I turned around to her after I knocked her out and I said 'Don't cry'."

Rousey slammed the final nail in the coffin when asked about Correia's trash talk because she considers the matter closed, now that she's dispatched the Brazilian and doesn't plan to cross paths with her again.

"I consider the matter settled," Rousey said. "I'm not going to have to think about her ever again after this day and I'm sure she'll have to think about me plenty. As far as I'm concerned, it's over and done with."
