REPLAY UFC Fight Night: Mendes vs. Lamas weigh-in results

Published Apr. 3, 2015 10:00 a.m. ET

The featherweight division could crown a new No. 1 contender in the main event between Chad Mendes and Ricardo Lamas, who square off on Saturday after hitting the scale and weighing in on Friday in Fairfax, Virginia.

Mendes is fresh off a five round war with Jose Aldo where he hurt the featherweight champion on several occasions and he wants a third shot at the only man to beat him since he became a professional fighter.

"Ricardo's a tough guy," Mendes said after weighing in.  "This in my mind is for a true No. 1 contender's spot."

Despite wiping off as much sweat as possible, lightweight contender Jorge Masvidal came in at 156.5 pounds, which is a half pound over the limit for his matchup against Al Iaquinta.

Masvidal has two hours to cut the additional half pound or risk a penalty from the athletic commission for not making weight.

Former Ultimate Fighter winner Julianna Pena looked ready to rumble after making weight on Friday, which is the culmination of more than a year away from the sport after she suffered a devastating knee injury following her victory on the reality show in season 18.
