Paul Heyman gives his take on Ronda Rousey pursuing a career with WWE

Ronda Rousey still hasn't made any official decision regarding her future in fighting, but all signs point towards her career with the UFC being near the end.

Following a second straight TKO loss this past December, UFC president Dana White hinted that Rousey would likely retire, which means the former women's champion will start moving towards the next stage of her career.

Since her fight with Amanda Nunes at UFC 207, Rousey has already booked a short stint on the NBC series "Blindspot" with a few different movie roles still rumored for the future.

One possible landing spot for Rousey is at the WWE where she already made an appearance at WrestleMania a few years ago not to mention that she's been a huge WWE fan throughout her entire mixed martial arts career.

Paul Heyman, who has worked around professional wrestling for most of his adult life and current serves as the "advocate" for former UFC champion Brock Lesnar, believes Rousey would be a perfect fit in the WWE if that's the route she decided to take.

"I think the WWE audience would embrace Ronda Rousey with open arms," Heyman told the Fight Society podcast this week. "Just her name recognition alone is huge. It doesn't matter her past two experiences in UFC. All that matters is if she got involved in a story that people could relate to and could sink their teeth into and get excited about."

On her first day in WWE, Rousey would already be one of the biggest names to ever compete in professional wrestling and if she can develop her in ring skills to match her star power, the sky would be the limit for a career in sports entertainment.

Heyman sees limitless potential in somebody like Rousey given her athletic background, draw and charisma before ever stepping foot in a WWE ring.

"I would personally pay to see Charlotte versus Ronda Rousey. I would personally pay to see Stephanie McMahon versus Ronda Rousey for a completely different reason but why digress," Heyman explained. "I think Ronda Rousey doing anything in WWE is a natural fit.

"I'd love to see it and would be happy to discuss with her all of the benefits that she could inure by being a Paul Heyman girl."

Rousey spent the majority of her MMA career as an unstoppable wrecking machine and that same moniker could easily follow her to WWE, but Heyman says there are plenty of potential foils in the promotion that could serve as her in ring equal.

Charlotte Flair, one of the top performers in WWE, could be a great potential opponent for Rousey and according to Heyman, several other stars could also face off with the former UFC champion thanks to the women's division being the strongest it's ever been in professional wrestling history.

"I tell you what, there are women in WWE, it's not just Charlotte, that could probably provide a compelling main event against Ronda Rousey," Heyman explained. "Look at Nia Jax. I mean you talk about someone that could truly make you believe she could kick Ronda Rousey's ass, Nia Jax is an impressive performer and a hell of an athlete as well.

"It's not like Charlotte is the only one who could be paired up with Ronda Rousey. There are others as well. The women's roster in WWE right now is unparalleled. In the history of pro wrestling or sports entertainment, there's never been a women's roster like this."
