Michael Bisping KOs Luke Rockhold, wins UFC title at UFC 199

Longtime UFC middleweight Michael Bisping accomplished a lifelong dream Saturday night as he beat Luke Rockhold to become UFC champion for the first time in his 12-year career.

Bisping, who took the fight on 17 days notice, crushed Rockhold with an overhand left midway through the first round, then unleashed another seconds later that sent Rockhold reeling to the canvas. The Brit then following up with some good old ground-and-pound and that was all she wrote.

In the co-main event, Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber finally (maybe) settled their near ten-year feud, as Cruz took home a unanimous decision and defended his belt for the first time of his second UFC title run. Lightweight Dustin Poirier and UFC legend Dan Henderson also scored big wins on the main card while featherweight Max Holloway won his ninth straight fight.

During the event, the UFC also announced that Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor will fight at UFC 202 in August. And they didn't stop there. The world's biggest fight promotion also announced that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will return at UFC 200.
