McGregor: Trump can shut his big fat mouth about Rousey

Conor McGregor doesn't have a vested interest in who becomes the next U.S. president considering he's an Irish citizen, but it's safe to say he wouldn't be voting for Donald Trump.

TMZ caught up with McGregor on Monday as he exited his plane in Los Angeles after flying in from Ireland to finish his preparation for UFC 194 and his showdown with Jose Aldo.

McGregor was asked about Trump's comments toward former UFC champion Ronda Rousey when he tweeted just recently that he was happy to see her lose because she was "not a nice person."

"Donald can shut his big fat mouth," McGregor said. "I don't give a f--k about Donald Trump."

McGregor was also asked about his opinion on the fight after Holm finished Rousey with a second-round head kick to win the UFC women's bantamweight title.

"Very tough fight. Holly fought a great fight and much respect," McGregor said. "This is the fight business, these things happen. Ronda will be back. True champions come back and congratulations to Holly, the new champion."

McGregor hasn't spoken to Rousey since the fight but believes she will bounce back from this because that's the true mark of a champion.

McGregor hasn't dealt with much loss in his professional career, but on those rare occasions he's come back, gotten better and now he's at the peak of the sport on the verge of one of the biggest shows in UFC history. The Irish contender believes Rousey is capable of the same.

"Defeat is the secret ingredient to success," McGregor said. "So true champions can conquer that, overcome that and come back. I wish her all the best."
