Kenny Robertson vs. George Sullivan added to FOX UFC Fight Night in New Jersey
Fresh off a performance of the night bonus in Sweden, Kenny Robertson will travel into enemy territory as he takes on George Sullivan in his backyard of New Jersey at FOX UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Rockhold.
UFC officials confirmed the new matchup to FOX Sports on Wednesday.
Robertson (15-3) has been on a tear of late winning his last three fights in a row including his knockout over Sultan Aliev in Sweden as well as finishing Thiago Perpetuo last March in Brazil.
The veteran fighter has gone 4-1 over his last five fights, but to get another win, he'll have to spoil his opponent's homecoming.
George Sullivan (16-3) lives and trains out of New Jersey where he works under former UFC lightweight Kurt Pellegrino.
Sullivan has gone 2-0 since debuting in the UFC in early 2014 with victories over Mike Rhodes and Igor Araujo.
Sullivan will look to keep his undefeated streak in the Octagon alive as he fights in his home state of New Jersey for the first time in the UFC. Sullivan was a regular on the New Jersey fight scene before fighting in the UFC so he will certainly have the hometown crowd on his side in Newark.
Robertson vs. Sullivan is the latest addition to the card in New Jersey, headlined by middleweight contenders Lyoto Machida and Luke Rockhold, who battle it out in the five round main event.
