On this week's UFC World podcast, women'€™s MMA pioneer Julie Kedzie looks back on a career which has seen her become fighter, commentator and assistant to Greg Jackson. Podcast host Gareth A Davies and Julie discuss the writers which have been drawn to fight sports, something which intrigues Julie who studied English Literature at College. Kedzie intimates that she wishes to get her black belt in jiu-jitsu, and looks back on the time she spent around GSP, whom she admires, when he trained at Jackson's MMA.

Brad Pickett joins Gareth to give his thoughts on GSP, whom he says he "respects completely"€ after the welterweight champion's decision to step away from the sport citing pressure and personal issues.

Pickett also gives the lowdown on Sacramento and insisting that he is not looking beyond Ian McCall on March 8, watched the flyweight title resolution with some delight on Saturday night.

Joanne Calderwood fights like a dervish -€“ take a look at her twitter handle - but is a gentle soul outside the Octagon. Calderwood explains how she got in to the sport, how she has been given a huge opportunity in Invicta by Shannon Knapp, and her delight on the formation of a women's straw weight division in the UFC. Calderwood insists she will proudly carry the flag of Scotland into the Octagon, and may even fight in her trademark kilt.
