The red-hot lightweight has verbally agreed to fight veteran Jim Miller in a lightweight bout at UFC 172 on April 26 in Baltimore, the UFC announced Friday.

Green (22-5), who is ranked No. 12 among contenders in the division, has won seven fights in a row, including his first three in the UFC. The Strikeforce alum was supposed to fight Abel Trujillo at UFC 169 last week, but had to pull out due to an injury. Green, 27, is coming off a decision win over Pat Healy on Dec. 14 at FOX UFC Saturday: Johnson vs. Benavidez II.

Miller (23-4, 1 NC) has been a contender at 155 pounds for years and he’s currently ranked No. 9. He’s coming off a slick submission victory over Fabricio Camoes at UFC 168 on Dec. 28 and has won three of his last five bouts. The 30-year-old is also a six-time “Of the Night” bonus winner, including his incredible Fight of the Year with Joe Lauzon in December 20120.
