Follow all the action from UFC Fight Night: McDonald vs. Lineker
Two of the best 135-pound fighters in the world square off tonight as fifth-ranked Michael McDonald takes on John Lineker in the main event of another exciting UFC Fight Night from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
McDonald returned from a near three-year layoff to score a submission win over Masanori Kanehara at UFC 195 and at just 25 is still considered one of the brightest rising stars on the entire roster. His opponent, Lineker, has won eight of his last nine fights and will look to crack the top five with a win over McDonald.
The co-main event features a lightweight tilt between potentially the best 155er in the world, not named Eddie Alvarez, in Tony Ferguson and UFC newcomer Lando Vannata. Vannata accepted the fight against "El Cucuy" on short notice after original opponent Michael Chiesa fell out with injury. Ferguson, winner of seven straight, could be just one victory away from a UFC title shot.
The rest of the card hosts UFC veterans like Tim Boetsch and Kyle Noke, as well as up-and-coming flyweights Louis Smolka and Ben Nyugen.
All the action starts at 6PM/3PM ETPT before moving over to FS1 for more prelims action at 7PM/4PM and the main card at 9PM/6PM.
