Polish bantamweight Damian Stasiak spoiled Croatian Filip Pejic's UFC homecoming in Zagreb, Sunday with a dominant first-round submission victory. The end came at 2:16 via rear naked choke.

"I went for it, and I won," he said, afterwards, in celebration.

"Greetings to everyone from Poland!"

"Webster" gave his fans plenty of reasons to be proud with a superb grappling-based victory. Twice he took Pejic down in the opening minutes, and kept things on the mat the second time.

After Pejic quickly worked his way back to his feet and created distance between he and his opponent, Stasiak soon closed the distance once more. Stasiak chained together an outside and inside leg trip together to score another takedown.

The grappler then moved to the mount, knee on hip and then moved to the back of Pejic. From there, Stasiak turned Pejic over to face the mat, flattened his hips and sunk in a choke under the chin, forcing the tap-out.

"I just felt it, [so] why not?" the charismatic young fighter gushed, afterwards.

The boos then rained down on him as he pantomimed the rapid firing of a machine gun from a wide stance, but Stasiak seemed too happy to care. With the win, Stasiak improves his record to 9-3, as Pejic's dips to 10-2.
