Conor McGregor nearly takes off Conan O'Brien's head with spin kick

Just two days out from his main event fight at UFC 196, Conor McGregor made a quick trip to Los Angeles on Thursday to make an appearance on "The Conan O'Brien Show" where he ended up showing the host one of his favorite moves.

While discussing his innate ability to predict the outcome of his fights, McGregor was asked to call his shot on the upcoming battle with Nate Diaz on Saturday night.

"I feel he is repetitive and his foot patterns, he's almost stuck in a routine," McGregor said. "His shots are the same over and over. His retreat is the same over and over. I feel there are many shots in my book that will land.

"I like the left uppercut, although he has the height and the range, I still like that rear uppercut. I also like the Meia Lua, which is a half-moon, it's a Capoeira technique where you spin and put your hand on the mat and swing your heel around like a baseball bat. It's a technique I have become very good at and I'm getting better at it. So I think I might break it out and ping it across his head."

After getting such a detailed description about his new favorite kick, O'Brien had to ask McGregor how this technique was actually executed. So the UFC featherweight champion kicked off his expensive shoes, took off his custom-made suit and did a demonstration.

Actually, McGregor used O'Brien as his sparring partner as he showed off the spin kick in front of the live studio audience.

Needless to say, O'Brien's life passed before his eyes as McGregor's foot came whizzing by his head in a lightning-fast motion.

Now that he's shown off his finishing kick to the world, maybe McGregor will be less apt to use it in his fight against Diaz. But then again, he generally tells his opponents exactly what he's going to do and it's been impossible to stop him thus far.
