Clay Guida wins decision, calls out lightweight champ Rafael Dos Anjos (VIDEO)

Clay Guida grinded and slammed his way to a unanimous decision victory over Robbie Peralta Saturday in Fairfax.

Early in the first round, Guida scored with two big slams that brought his many supporters in the crowd to their feet.

From there, Guida took the back of Peralta, but the resilent "Problems" got back to his feet before getting dragged back down to the mat.

Eventually, Peralta got back to his feet, once more, but only with "The Carpenter" on his back. Chants of "Guida" from the audience started round two off, and Guida answered by landing a big overhand right punch.

After that shot, Guida pressed in for another takedown and got it. Peralta returned to his feet but the long-time veteran stuck to him like glue and looked for another takedown.

The referee separated the men as Guida was in the middle of lifting Peralta off the ground for another takedown. Despite the interference, Guida closed the distance yet again and pressed Peralta against the cage.

After another separation, Peralta took his opportunity and swung with big punches, but missed. Guida, now bleeding below his left eye, shot in for another takedown but was stuffed.

Guida landed a high kick to start round three and followed up with another double leg takedown slam. As Peralta rose to his feet, Guida picked him up high in the air and slammed him to the mat again.

On the ground, Guida looked for an arm-triangle choke, but Peralta gamely defended and got back to his feet. With 30 seconds left in the round and fight, Guida scored one last slam to close out the bout.

Scores were 30-27 all around for Guida. After the win, Guida mixed together a strange group of call-outs, wishing everyone a happy Easter, expressing skepticism that President Obama is working as hard as he can for our nation, and then calling out new lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos, who Guida submitted in 2010, after breaking his jaw.

"When I moved down to 145, it was never permanent," Guida shouted.

"Whenever you're ready...put me at 155."

With wins over both former champion Anthony Pettis and Dos Anjos, Guida has confidence that he could move back up to lightweight and grab gold.

"Rafael Dos Anjos, don't forget about that guy tat gave you those two metal things in your jaw...you're holding onto my strap"

The win moves Guida to 32-15, overall. Peralta's loss dips his record to 18-6
