Baszler and Moras injured; All other women will fight but no men

Published Nov. 25, 2013 3:24 p.m. ET

This season of The Ultimate Fighter marked the first time women ever entered the competition and now with the show wrapping up with the final episode airing Wednesday night there's one thing that is abundantly clear --€” the ladies stole the show.

From the first fight in the elimination round to the final fight between Raquel Pennington and Jessica Rakoczy, the women on The Ultimate Fighter came out to prove they belong in the Octagon and truly become the stand out story all season long.

It's for that reason that every woman that was featured on this season of The Ultimate Fighter will get a fight on the TUF Finale this Saturday night in Las Vegas minus two notable exceptions.

Former top Team Rousey pick Shayna Baszler and Team Tate fighter Sarah Moras will be unable to compete on the card due to injury according to an announcement made by UFC officials on Monday.

Baszler later announced on Twittter that despite her injury, she will still be attending the finale working in the corner of her teammate Jessamyn Duke, who will face Peggy Morgan on the card.

UFC officials later confirmed to FOX Sports that both Baszler and Moras will be kept on the roster and given fights at a later date.  That's not the same case for the bantamweight men, however, as only the finalists Chris Holdsworth and David Grant will be performing on the Finale.  No other men's fighters will be included from this season of the show.

The final matchups on the card will be announced after Wednesday's show airs but it means that both Raquel Pennington as well as Jessica Rakoczy will appear on the Finale along with Team Tate fighter Roxanne Modafferi.
