Anderson Silva vs Roy Jones Jr?
Yesterday during the UFC 162 media call, Anderson Silva confirmed that he’d like to take on Roy Jones Jr. at some point in the future.
"Of course I want to fight him, and maybe after this fight against (Chris) Weidman, regardless of the outcome, I would love to fight him," Silva said through an interpreter. "He's already said he'd fight me, so that's something I'd really like to happen."
"I feel that his boxing style is one that I'd like to test myself against. I've always been a fan of his, and I've always wanted to test myself against Roy Jones."
In May, Silva gave an interview to the NY Post re-approaching the prospect of a fight with the former boxing champ.
TMZ caught up with Jones Jr. earlier this month to hear his thoughts on the fight:
The stars may never align for a fight like this. But, at least fight fans can rest easy knowing they'll get to see "The Spider" fight next week at UFC 162.
