Alan Jouban and Nordine Taleb set to brawl during International Fight Week

Published May. 3, 2016 5:58 p.m. ET

Strikers Alan Jouban and Nordine Taleb are slated to go toe-to-toe in a welterweight clash on July 7 at UFC Fight Night: dos Anjos vs. Alvarez in Las Vegas.

The bout was initially reported by The Daily News before the UFC confirmed the matchup shortly thereafter.

Jouban has won three of his last four fights, including first-round knockouts of Taleb's "Ultimate Fighter: Nations" castmates Brendan O'Reilly and Rich Walsh. Since entering the UFC in 2014, Jouban has three first-round finishes and two Fight of the Night awards.

Taleb started his UFC career with three straight wins before suffering a setback at the hands of Warlley Alves. The Canadian got back on track in March when he put on a strong performance against Erick Silva at UFC 196.

UFC Fight Night: dos Anjos vs. Alvarez is the first of three consecutive UFC events taking place in Vegas during International Fight Week. The event, which airs exclusively on UFC Fight Pass, goes down the Thursday of that week, before giving way to The Ultimate Fighter Finale on Friday and UFC 200 on Saturday.

With the addition of Jouban vs. Taleb, as well as a host of other exciting fights, UFC Fight Night: dos Anjos vs. Alvarez is pulling its weight during the star-studded weekend.
